14 april Hanteringen av den ekonomiska och finansiella krisen under ordförandeskapet - vad hände?
The economic and financial crisis was one of the most important issues during the Swedish EU Presidency. The outcome, preceded by at times difficult negotiations, was a political decision establishing a new framework for supervision of the financial sector in the EU.
In a new European policy analysis, Jonas Eriksson and Henrik Sikström, researchers at the SIEPS, argues that the new structure is problematic since it gathers various national systems under a common framework.
The seminar will be in Swedish and is part of the Europaforum Hässleholm, April 12-15.

Europaforum Hässleholm is an annual meeting place where current issues are discussed from a European perspective. Between April 12 to 15 politicians, researchers and the public meet to discuss current European issues. The idea is to create a lively debate on the development and narrow the gap between policy makers and citizens.
The programme is available here.
The Europaforum partners are, in addition to SIEPS, the European Parliament Information Office in Sweden, the European Commission in Sweden, the Government Offices of Sweden, Skåne Region and Europe Direct Hässleholm. .
