17 December Immigration Policy for Circular Migration

Circular migration has become an important concept in the EU's future migration policy. The main purpose is to minimise brain-drain while simultaneously allowing the international movement of workers to render the economies of both sending and receiving countries more efficient. In a new SIEPS report, Immigration policy for Circular Migration, Professor Per Lundborg, Stockholm University, examines the relevant literature and discusses the problems that might result when a policy that promotes the movement of highly-skilled workers is designed. The report is part of the research project Internal and external dimensions of a common asylum and migration policy.
