Welcome to a seminar that evaluate the Swedish EU Presidency in the second half of 2009, as SNS presents a new book titled "I Europas tjänst".

In the most serious global financial crisis since the 1930s, it fell to Sweden's fate to take over the Presidency of the EU. The implication of this is to organize around 2000 meetings of every possible political levels and to some extent set the agenda in a variety of areas.

Some of the questions asked during the seminar is: Was the Swedish presidency a success? In what areas was good descsions made? To what extent were Swedish interests realized? In addition, the Presidency institution will also be discussed.

The seminar is arranged by SNS, with support from SIEPS.
