Can involving organised interests in the decision-making process enhance the democratic legitimacy of the EU? Thomas Persson and Karl-Oskar Lindgren, political scientists at Uppsala University, have set out to answer this question through studying the process that produced the new regulatory system for chemicals (REACH). They will present their findings and conclusions at this seminar.
