Save the date! Seminar on migration 1 February 2016

The EU and its member states have laws and rules that govern who may cross their borders. Migration becomes illegal if people do not have permission to enter the territory of a country, giving rise to human smuggling, human trafficking and undocumented migration. At the same time, this creates a lawless situation, where vulnerable people live in constant fear of being discovered.

Illegal migration may become one of the most pressing issues in 2016. At this seminar – The business of migration: illegal consequences of borders and regulations – prominent scholars and experts such as Pia Orrenius, Madelin Zavodnik, Ilse van Liempt and Gunilla Hallonsten will present and discuss their research on human smuggling, human trafficking and undocumented migration.

The seminar will be held in English.

Invitation and detailed information will follow.
