20 May Swedish Public Opinion on the European Union
Swedish public opinion on EU Affairs has undergone considerable changes since 1995 and Swedes are gradually becoming more positive to membership. Which groups in society are positive to EU membership and which are negative? Has the Swedish Presidency of the European Union affected public attitudes towards the EU? Are the Swedes in favour of introducing the euro? These are some of the issues addressed in a new analysis written by Professor Sören Holmberg.
At the seminar the report Swedes have mentally joined the European Union was presented. The report is part of the research project Swedish Public Opinion of the European Integration.
