The European Parliament elections 22-25 May has been described as the most important hitherto. With the new powers given in the Lisbon Treaty, the new parliament will decide on a number of issues vital to the European cooperation.
What does the outcome mean for short and long-term development? And what does the turnout suggest about the citizens confidence in the EU?
